Questions About Submitting a Suggestion

What happens to your suggestion, what to include, and where else you can reach us.

What happens after I submit a suggestion?

Your suggestion is emailed straight to our support team at [email protected]. We read every one. If you leave an email address we will reply, usually within three to five working days.

How do I report a police station that is missing from the directory?

Choose 'A police station is missing' and give us the station's name, its address, and any phone number you have — along with where you found those details. A link to an official state police page is the single most useful thing you can include, because it lets us verify before publishing.

Check which states we cover

Why isn't my state covered yet?

We build the directory state by state from official police sources, and we would rather publish nothing for a state than publish contact details we cannot verify. A wrong phone number in an emergency does real harm. If your state is missing, telling us here genuinely helps us prioritise it.

I found a wrong phone number. Should I use this form?

For a specific factual correction to a station already listed, the corrections form is faster because it captures the exact record. Use suggestions for anything broader — a missing station, a feature idea, or feedback on the site.

Report a data correction

Can I suggest a new feature or guide?

Yes, and these are genuinely useful. Much of what exists here — the GPS station finder, the NC and FIR explainers, PIN code search — came from people telling us what they could not find anywhere else.

See our existing guides

Do I have to give my name and email?

No. Both are optional and you can submit anonymously. We only ask for an email so we can reply or ask a follow-up question if your suggestion needs one.

Can I report a crime or file a complaint through this form?

No, and please do not try. PoliceStationsIndia.com is an independent directory with no connection to any police force — nothing submitted here reaches the police. To report a crime, call 100 or 112, or visit a police station in person.

Find your nearest station

Can my organisation share a dataset with you?

Yes — this is the fastest way to get a state covered properly. Choose 'Partnership / data sharing' and tell us what you hold and where it came from. We are particularly interested in official or RTI-sourced station lists.

How we verify data

Will you publish my suggestion publicly?

No. Suggestions go to our support inbox and are not published. If a suggestion leads to a change on the site, the change appears — your message does not.

Is there another way to reach you?

You can email [email protected] directly, or use the contact page for media, partnership and general enquiries. This form simply routes to the same inbox with a little structure attached.

Other ways to contact us

How long does it take for a suggested station to appear?

It depends entirely on whether we can verify it. A station we can confirm against an official police page can be added quickly. One we cannot verify stays unpublished until we can — which is the whole reason the directory is trustworthy.

I run a police station. How do I get our details listed or corrected?

Please do get in touch — official confirmation is the best source we can have. Tell us the station name, jurisdiction and official contact details, and mention your role so we can flag it for priority verification.

PoliceStationsIndia.com is an independent public information directory, not affiliated with any police force or government authority. Suggestions submitted here reach our support team only — they are never forwarded to the police and cannot be used to report a crime, register an FIR, or request police assistance.
